چکیده

In this paper we present a framework for the fusion of radar and image information. In the case considered here we combine information from multiple closerange radars to one fused radar measurement using the overlap region of the individual radars. This step is performed automatically using a feature based matching technique. Additionally, we use multiple 2D/3D cameras that generate (color) image and distance information. We show how to fuse these heterogeneous sensors in the context of airport runway surveillance. A possible application of this is the automatic detection of midget objects (e.g. screws) on airfields. We outline how to generate an adaptive background model for the situation on the runway from the fused sensor information. Unwanted objects on the airfield can then be detected by change detection.

Collaborative 3D Target Tracking in Distributed Smart Camera Networks for Wide-Area Surveillance

With the evolution and fusion of wireless sensor network and embedded camera technologies, distributed smart camera networks have emerged as a new class of systems for wide-area surveillance applications. Wireless networks, however, introduce a number of constraints to the system that need to be considered, notably the communication bandwidth constraints. Existing approaches for target tracking...

A Particle Filter Based Probabilistic Fusion Framework for Simultaneous Recognition and Pose Estimation of 3 D Objects in a Sequence of Images

We describe a framework for robust object recognition and pose estimation of 3D object which is using a sequence of images and probabilistic method. Using a sequence of images in multiple views has great advantage for robust object recognition and pose estimation in noisy and ill-conditioned environment texture, occlusion, illuminate and camera pose. For recognizing an object and estimating its...

Comparison of Different 2D and 3D-QSAR Methods on Activity Prediction of Histamine H3 Receptor Antagonists

Histamine H3 receptor subtype has been the target of several recent drug development programs. Quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) methods are used to predict the pharmaceutically relevant properties of drug candidates whenever it is applicable. The aim of this study was to compare the predictive powers of three different QSAR techniques, namely, multiple linear regression ...

2D-3D Model Correspondence for Camera Pose Estimation using Sensor Fusion

Augmented reality requires accurate position and orientation estimates of a camera. In our approach inertial and visual data are fused using the conditional probability framework to estimate camera pose. We propose a measurement equation for 2D-3D model correspondence, i.e., detecting known 3D features of the scene in a camera image. The probability density of this measurement equation is inves...
